Little report regarding Japan
Japan, from a European perspective, is a different world. It's a lot of fun, people are nice (as long as you seem interested in what they have to sell at least), the shrines are cool, it's very safe, everything just works.
I don't think I will come back any time soon though, if ever. For my freedom-loving anarchist(ish) self, there is too much constraint, everyone knows what to do, but nobody stops to ask themselves why are they doing it. Everyone just follows the rules blindly.
I guess that's why it works so well. But no wonder that the country is facing a huge crisis (dramatically declining birth rates for years now), I think that the work expectations and robot-like lifestyle lead to escaping to manga/anime fantasy worlds and I can't blame the regular salaryman for doing exactly that.
But hey, I am happy to explore it here (especially the nature here is beautiful, see below), makes me appreciate my home country and even its shortcomings more.
